Newly hatched and trying to make sense of life, noop has only ever known loneliness. But as he roams his home planet of the Elastomer searching for a meaning to his existence, he comes across a creature who looks just as lost as he does. paw! is mighty and unapproachable, but noop finds a disguise that he thinks will make them become friends. And it works: paw! thinks noop is a monkeyrabbit, and for the first time paw! has a true friend.

But a friendship based on a lie can never last.

The first pieces in the False Friends storyline depicts noop and paw!'s original encounter, which has sent both their lives spiraling out of control in an ongoing story told in over a dozen vinyl sculptures. Each set contains one mischievous noop, one oblivious paw!, and a fabric paw! suit noop disguises himself in. 

Is it better to have a false friend than no friend at all?
